This painting is part of abstract artist Hana Moore’s ongoing ‘Dot’ series, which explores visual juxtapositions through the contrast of geometric versus organic and the creating and revealing of layers. Here the artist employs the technique of resist painting to create a second graphic layer of structured dots that selectively reveals the more random, organic composition hidden below. In doing so she creates a new, unexpected composition that possesses elements of discovery and playfulness.
